The International Journal of Developmental Issues in Education and Humanities is a bilingual, peer-reviewed, open access journal published twice yearly by the Faculty of Education, University of Buea, Cameroon. We publish rigorous empirical research, theoretical analyses, methodological advances and critical essays that illuminate educational practice, human development and cultural studies across regional and global contexts.

We welcome original contributions that connect scholarly inquiry to policy and practice, with emphasis on:

• Educational theory, curriculum reform and instructional innovation

• Language, literature, multilingualism and cultural identity

Peer Review & Editorial Standards

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Submissions are evaluated on originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance and contribution to the field. The editorial board follows international best practice and maintains transparency in decision-making and conflict-of-interest management.

Open Access & Copyright

The journal operates an open access model: all published content is freely available online. Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish. Reuse for educational and research purposes is permitted with appropriate attribution to the original authors.

Archiving & Preservation

To secure long-term availability, our content is preserved through recognized digital preservation services (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS or equivalent). DOI assignment and Crossref registration are applied to articles to ensure discoverability and citation tracking.

Sponsorship & Independence

The journal is supported by the Faculty of Education, University of Buea. Editorial decisions remain independent of sponsors and are made exclusively on scholarly merit.

Publication Frequency & Languages

Published six times per year (bi-monthly). The journal accepts papers in English and French; authors should indicate the language of submission and provide an abstract in both languages where possible.

Privacy & Ethics

Personal data collected during submission and peer review are used only for editorial processes and will not be shared for commercial use. The journal adheres to standard publication ethics: plagiarism detection, data integrity checks and transparent reviewer conduct.
